New Management 👋

Hello!

I’m Sian, one of Bryn’s daughters, and I’m excited to share an update about Bryn Hughes Art with you.

As you may know, Dad retired from running his art business last year (read more), but he wanted his beautiful work to remain available to everyone. That’s why he asked me to take over managing his website and shop.

I’m happy to announce that the online shop is now open again, with prints available for purchase. The only difference is that you'll now be buying from me. While Dad likely won’t be creating new pieces, his incredible back-catalogue is extensive.

If there’s a specific print or building you’re interested in, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help you find it.

Thank you for continuing to support Bryn’s work—it means so much to us.

Second Retirement

[UPDATE: The shop is open again. It’s now being run by Sian, one of Bryn’s Daughters.] Read more

Sheffield-based artist Bryn Hughes has announced his (second) retirement and the closure of his art print business, Hughes Art Limited, which includes his current online shop. While the decision to retire and close the business was not an easy one, Bryn felt it was time to step away from all the administrative tasks associated with running a successful online business and focus on family life.

A well-known figure in the Sheffield art scene for many years, Bryn's distinctive style and vibrant watercolours have garnered a loyal following of collectors and admirers. Currently, an alternative arrangement is being explored, and there are plans for an updated website to be live later this year, with the hope that sales can resume.

Bryn Hughes would like to express his heartfelt thanks to all of his supporters throughout the years. Your encouragement and appreciation of his work have been a great source of inspiration for him.

Thank you :-)

- sketching at Amalfi, Italy

Another sketch on our journey with Riviera Travel in Italy. Amalfi Cathedral from a café in the Piazza Duomo. Had to sample the desserts - delicissimo! What a bus trip along the Amalfi coast followed by the view from the top of the hills at Ravello and back via the plain below Vesuvius. Trip of a lifetime.

- a bit of business.... then RELAX!

Posted the first 100 prints (of 500) to ARTiMANS in Soller Mallorca this morning, called into the Millenium Gallery Shop and discovered my Sheffield Prints and Cards are now on display... nice sunny day, some free time - went on a short cicular walk from home, down into Porter Brook Valley, up through the beech woods, along Fulwood Lane, looked down on Sheffield City 5 miles below, past the Alpaca Farm and back to the Village - Home Sweet Home!

The New Shop is Growing Fast

There are now over 30 different prints to buy from my new online shop.

The first prints available are some of the most popular scenes from my Travelling Artist collection including paintings of Sheffield, London and Venice. We plan to add more locations soon, as well as a collection of greetings cards.

Also recently updated: the commission a painting section, please have a look. I love painting gifts for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.
